About flickr

Flickr: Flickr was quite different than Webshots but the premise was basically the same. Flickr is based on a blog format and people may make comments to your pictures if you all them to. I can see this site (and sites like these) used for visual discrimination activities. You may give a group of students a picture you found in a magazine or one that you took of a familiar place. For instance, I could use a picture of Devil’s Tower that I took. Then ask the group to do a search (through Flickr) and find a picture that closely resembles that one that you took. I could not believe how many pictures looked like the one I took! It might be a good activity for an art class when learning about details and differences.
